I thought that when school ended I would have more free time... lol... not so. I have something to do, actually many somethings to do, at any given point in my day.
Take right now for instance, in approximately five minutes I have to drive my dad to work (about 1 1/2 hrs one way) because my dad is flying to LA (Los Angeles not Louisiana) and we will need the car while he is gone. After I get home, I have to work in the basement until 2:45pm at which time I go to work till midnight. :D
Things are only looking like they will get more hectic. I am going to take a class this summer (physics), get braces, finish the basement... uh oh... Time to leave! More later (I hope).

More Soon!
You may have noticed that I haven't posted recently... it is because I haven't had time. I still don't have much time. :) However, I am working on writing an update of what is happening in my (and my family's) life.

Six More Miles
*Edit* Changed my mind... I'll post this later.
For those wondering, this was a video of me playing one of my guitars and singing Hank Williams' song "Six More Miles" However, the guitar I used was not in tune (its strings are at least 5 years old so it is impossible to tune). So through the whole song I was trying to adjust my voice to the slightly out-of-tune guitar. I may still post it... or I may try to get new strings and make a better version and post that... I haven't decided.
One other problem with the song... I only practiced it once before I sang it... so a couple of times I would sing a note and play the wrong cord. :)

A Less Serious Picture
Just so that nobody will start thinking that I never smile.
On a side note:
I just finished my draft for my research paper!!!!! :D
The draft is due tomorrow morning so I am happy. :D

A more serious picture
*For the anonymous poster who wanted to see one*
On the right you will find two pictures, one with me almost smiling and one with me not. See what I meant?

My Sad, Sad Song
This poem is tottaly true. Everything it relates is (almost) exactly the way it happened. I wrote music for this poem as well, maybe I'll post me singing it... maybe not. Enjoy! :D
Left work one day
At six PM
My sister’s on her way…
To pick me up
And take me home
Yes, everything’s ok
But things went wrong
The lights left on
And I’m condemned to stay…
In Starbucks here
For half a year
Till rescue can be won
I call my dad
Ask if he’s close
And if he’ll take me home…
He tells me no
He’s just left work
For an hour he must roam
Oh things went wrong
The lights left on
And I’m condemned to stay…
In Starbucks here
For near a year
Till rescue can be won
So I call my mom
At home to see
If she will drive the van…
Who’s mufflers broke,
It’s just a joke,
And she just laughs with me
Oh things went wrong
The lights left on
And I’m condemned to stay…
In Starbucks here
For over a year
Till rescue can be won
So I call my sister
Who’s also stuck
To sympathize with her…
But she gets mad
And calls my dad
And blames it all on me
Oh things went wrong
The lights left on
And I’m condemned to stay…
In Starbucks here
For thirty years
Till rescue can be won
My sister was right
I couldn’t fight
She’d every right to blame…
Me for this mess
That we were in
Because I did the same
Oh things went wrong
The lights left on
And I’m condemned to stay…
In Starbucks here
For forty years
Till rescue can be won
You see I drove
Us both to work
And left the lights turned on…
Then sent my sister
On her way
‘thout telling her what was wrong
Oh things went wrong
The lights left on
And I’m condemned to stay…
In Starbucks here
The closing’s near
A rescue must be won
So here I sit
And here I’ll stay
I’ve nowhere else to go…
The Starbuck’s closed
I’ve been deposed
And all I’ve got to say…
Is things went wrong
The lights left on
And I’m condemned to stay…
Outside Starbucks here
Right on my ear
Till rescue has been won
Yes things went wrong
Car lights left on
That is my sad life’s song
